Ronya Rating System
Welcome to the Ronya Rating wine rating system. The Ronya Rating system is developed by me, Ronya Kasim. I am a WSET level 3 certified wine specialist, and I developed this rating system to help consumers better understand how to simply choose wines for all occasions. Retail stores are stacked with hundreds of wines to choose from. Restaurants can have wine lists that are pages and pages long. It can be a little intimidating or overwhelming to say the least! With so many amazing wines to choose from, so many labels to interpret, made from different varietals from different regions of the world, how do you know where to start? How do you know which bottle to choose? That is why I have developed the Ronya Rating system to make your wine selection process more approachable, super simple, easy to understand and most importantly make your wine choice more rewarding!

- Tip #1 – Do not hesitate to ask your restaurant’s sommelier or retail store manager for help. That is their job, and they are more than happy to assist.
- Tip #2 – Try something new! You may be delightfully surprised trying a new grape varietal from a different region of the world. There are plenty of good wines awaiting your discovery.
- Tip #3 – At the end of the day it is about your palette and what you like to drink.
- Tip #4 – Never judge a wine by its price tag. Some expensive wines may not live up to the cost and some less expensive wines may be of great quality.

- 97-99 – Spectacular, worthy of your wine snob friends and very special occasions.
- 94-96 – Excellent! Bragging rights and good for any occasion.

- 80-85 – Acceptable, will pass for a simple table wine.
- 70-79 – Below average, drink only if nothing else is available.
